We hate Pop Up’s too, can you help us get rid of it!?

Our project is established but our site is new and although we have weddings specialists in over 60 countries it’s going to take time to get everyone on the ship. If you can’t find exactly what you want please get in touch and if you are an awesome wedding specialist or you know people you want to recommend let us know.

What a crazy place!

Wedding travel blog – love story, travel blogs, wedding blogs, wedding, wedding story, wedding pictures, traveling, marriage, adventure. Our first almost drunken like exhausted state impressions are that everyone is young…and HOT! I mean like everyone is beautiful and slim…and there’s something else a little unusual…they’re all seriously tattoo’d!!!!!!! I don’t just mean the odd little star here and there like me, I mean full arms, legs…chests!!! Its crazy and its generally the women with the huge chest tats! They’re amazing! The parlours here must be the most successful businesses around barring starbucks as they all have an iced mocha at the end of their beautifully tattoo’d arms!

We had a mooch around from the hostel…which we wont talk about but willWedding travel blog – love story, travel blogs, wedding blogs, wedding, wedding story, wedding pictures, traveling, marriage, adventure. refer to as ‘the basement’…and found the blue jays stadium and the CN tower on the doorstep. A few blocks further and we are surrounded by amazing little restaurants and bars…very cool place! Had some dinner at a little chinese restaurant sat on the street people watching and half nodding off even though it was only 6pm local time (thats 11pm UK time). If only people knew what a busy few days we had had I’m sure they would have understood!

After a nights sleep in ‘the basement’ with some kind of rock festival going on in the room next door we headed out refreshed(?) with breakfast on our minds and found Coras. Out of this world! We can both eat but seriously…we were served our own body weight of food…each! I have never had sausage, bacon, eggs, lettuce, kiwi, melon, pineapple and maple syrup on the same plate before but got stuck in! The other plate (yes there were two plates of epic proportions of food) was pancakes, crepes, cinnamon brioche, syrup and every type of fruit ever in the shape of a mountain!! All of this washed down with bottomless ‘cawfee’ and rather stupidly on my part, a fresh fruit juice nearly finished us both off and took us a good 2 hours to get through!

We went back to ‘the basement’ to lie down and to catch up on our emails and all the excitement going on back home! We couldn’t believe the response the wedding had had! We had requests for our love story from so many people…the press, radio and TV all wanting interviews! We even have a request to have a wedding on an Australian TV show! We spent the rest of the day responding to emails and phone calls in our damp little room until the UK working day was over and then set back out to see the sights.

Wedding travel blog – love story, travel blogs, wedding blogs, wedding, wedding story, wedding pictures, traveling, marriage, adventure. We found china town and got some chinese medicine for Alex’s poorly throat! (take 8…not 9…just 8!! was the advice from the tiny chinese woman!) and wandered aimlessly around as it is almost impossible to get lost due to the block system. We were really enjoying the sense of freedom until the wind picked up and the sky got black and everyone started running away!!! We spotted the clouds starting to form in a circle (see pic!) and started to make our way to the Art Gallery of Ontario…quickly! By the time we got there the lightening had stopped and the storm had passed over but apparently over the last few weeks the CN tower has been struck by lightening on a regular basis! Unfortunately the storm caused quite a lot of damage further along the city in Scarborough and North York that night so we were very lucky!

We managed one more night in ‘the basement’ and headed uptown to stay in a hotel for a couple of nights to catch up with all the media requests and to do a couple of interviews via skype and the telephone!

We were on Calendar ITV  on Friday and have interviewed to be on the Vanessa show live on channel 5 on Tuesday on a show called ‘romance is dead’ so we’ll see if we can ressurect some peoples belief in romance on there! Then we are on BBC Radio Manchester live on Thursday on the Heather Stott show so quite a busy week ahead!

Keep an eye out for us and let us know how it all goes as we cant see or listen to any of it unfold from Canada…and please comment on the blog posts!!

Send us your Canadian wedding ideas!!

Love Lisa and Alex x

See what happens next in our wedding travel adventure!
