After a brief stop in what can only be described as mosquito heaven (named so as they were they were so fat they must have a diet of a child a day) and a
breakfast of baked beans IN MAPLE SYRUP on toast (another major fail on our part! Must read tins and not presume that beans would be in something as
sane as tomato sauce!) we are on route to Montreal Biodome in the hope of arranging a wedding!!!
The Biodome was amazing. 4 different environments all under one roof.We saw penguins on an iceburg, alligators soaking up the sun, a lynx enjoying the humid air and very strange looking fish sucking up plankton soup…alas…we did not see a wedding venue. The idea was there, we thought why not in 4 completely different climates have a wedding in each? Unfortunately it wasn’t really what we expected. We knew it would be tourist driven but it just didnt have the right feelto it
. From getting in we never spoke to a person, all machines tolead you around and no interaction at all. We were thinking to have a ceremony in front of the penguins or in the rainforest with the monkeys and macaws but it just isn’t that kind of place! Back to the drawing board and back on the road!
We are traveling up towards Quebec City over the next few days…maybe sampling a few wine tours on route but please if you have any ideas for this area let us know!We have only 72 days left in Canada and desperately want to hold a wedding in this stunning country! If you are part of a small town between Montreal and Quebec or Quebec and Vancouver (or if you know someone that is) that has a place you think would be an amazing wedding venue please please pleaselet us know! It doesn’t have to be the norm…we are open to crazy ideas! Give us a clue! xx

Hiya, asked Tims cousin who lives in Torronto and this is what she said…..
.As for wedding venues, in and around toronto – there is Centre Island which is a cool island in Lake Ontario in the middle of toronto city, there is a theme park called Wonderland – it is a bit more Disney like than Altontowers, would he fancy being married on a roller coaster as I am sure they do it there! There is also a ‘castle’ (v large house built to look like a castle) in the centre of town called Casa Loma, or of course there is is the CN tower – super tall place for a wedding!! I don’t know Montreal at all so I can’t help you there I am afraid.
Hope this may help???
Hope your ok??
